• A must during your stay! It allows you to take in all of the varying views of the caldera from one end of the island to the other.

    Start early! It is hot… The hike is about 6 miles, and took us about 3 hours at 6 am. Please do not forget water, and I would recommended reading over this guide to ensure you do not miss any of the views or turns during the trip!

    Must-see spots: Three Bells of Thira at Agios Theodoros, Skaros Rock (detour adds 30-60 mins), Profitis Ilias Church, and Panagia Church.

    We drove to Fira from San Antonio hotel and parked our car by the Three Bells. At the end of our hike we took the shuttle bus from Oia to Fira.

    KTEL Santorini Bus: 25 minutes, £1.82/ person (cash only, purchased when boarding), runs hourly. The stop is not clearly marked (it is below the main square in Oia where the big church is located next to the Santia Jewelry Shop), you will see people forming a line. Try to get in line asap- the bus fills up!

  • A beautiful black-sand beach. There are lounge chairs availabel to rent. The sand tends to be quite hot, bring water shoes or wear your sandals to the water.

  • If you are looking to get the perfect photo of yourself with the blue domes in the background- walk down the street next to Alexandros Jewelry! The line can become quite long, go in the very early morning or the evening.

  • There are a variety of wineries and wine tours available in Santorini. The region is well-known for a white-wine variety, Asyrtiko.

  • The boutique is located alongside the main street in Oia. Holds a collection of beautiful prints and dresses.
