Paris

France

The beautiful “City of Light",” is a destination that one could go to over, and over and never be tired of. When I was younger I did not appreciate the city as much as I do now, and I hope to come back many more times. Whether you want to shop, eat, or play, the city has everything to offer. If you have time, I would highly encourage to plan a day-trip to Mont Saint Michel, Versailles, Giverny or La Vallée Village.

Tips

  • ORLY/ CDG to Paris: Taxis are your best option. Most prefer cash, so do not forget to exchange for Euros before stepping outside the airport. Our trip from ORLY to the Opera district was around 50€ .

Getting around the city: walking/ taxis/ ubers. It is very important to exit the car from the right-side!

Trains: I always have difficulty navigating the screens for the trains so I rely on the attendants at the window to double-check my research and book my tickets directly with them.

  • Anytime!

We enjoyed the season during our trip mid-September. The weather was not too warm and the crowds had lessened a bit.

  • Comfortable walking shoes are very important! Also there are quite a few pick pocketer individuals in high-trafficked areas. It is best to bring a secure cross-body bag or small back-pack when you are out exploring during the day.

In the evening I would recommend a nice sandal or low heel shoe for dinner with a clutch.

PSA: Please do not leave your purse on the back of chairs/ unattended. I always place my purse/ clutch in my lap or under my leg when i am dining in the Parisian cafes.
