Opens @ 8 am, 7 days/ week. I would recommend coming early and waiting in line at about 7:50am, since it gets quite hot during the day. Also, arriving early is best time to get pictures! Tickets can be purchased in front of the museum via the attendant or the automated machines.

  • The Agora of Athens was the central marketplace and gathering place in ancient Athens, Greece. It was the center of political and social activity, where citizens would meet to discuss and debate important issues. Today, visitors can explore the ruins of the Agora and get a glimpse into life in ancient Athens. With its rich history and stunning architecture, the Agora is a must-visit destination for anyone interested in ancient Greek culture and history.

  • Mount Lycabettus is the tallest of the hills in Athens. Climbed to see the best views of Athens, experience the flora, and to visit the Chapel of St. George.

A 3 minute ride on the cable car (Teleferik) can take you to the top. Best accessed on the intersection of Aristippou and Plutarchiou Streets (€7 roundtrip/ €5 one way).

Or if you are up for the walk, there are a few different paths. The walk from Aristippou has the best views and can be crowded, but is in direct sunlight. Another path from Ilia Rogkakou will provide a bit of sun coverage before converging with the other paths. Best further read about on this website.

  • Psiri/ Psirri/ Psyrri is a fun neighborhood to visit in the evening that is home to a lot of different bars, taverns, and restaurants. We had a great time just walking around after dinner to see all the vibrant bars.

Home to graffiti art and small boutiques as well. More can be read about the area here.
